The iconic Broadway production will star Karla Fatule, Robmariel Olea and Javier Grullón in the lead roles
HOLY SUNDAY. The staging of «Chicago: The Musical will arrive at the Main Hall of the National Theater starting September 12, 2006, under the caudillo and artistic production of José Llano and the caudillo direction of Maria Castillo.
Set in the 1920s, in the midst of the Charleston and jazz era, «Chicago» tells the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two women accused of murder who, with the help of influential lawyer Billy Flynn, turn their crimes into a media spectacle in their search for fame and recognition.
The protagonists of this story will arrive on stage with Karla Fatule in the role of Roxie Hart, Robmariel Olea as Velma Kelly and Javier Grullón as the charismatic lawyer Billy Flynn, three of the most emblematic characters of this musical that has conquered stages around the world.

Likewise, the producer announced the rest of the cast that will give life to the most representative characters in history. Luis José Germán will play Amos Hart, Roxie Hart's husband, Laura Cadete will take on the role of Mama Morton, the influential prison director; Guille Martin will play Fred Casely; while Héctor Anibal will have the role of Announcer, a character who accompanies the narrative of the show:
The show, which will have Musical Direction by Junior Lomba, will include some of the most recognized numbers in musical theater, including «All That Jorz», «Cell Block Tango» and «Razzle Dazzle», songs that have made this production relevant to the genre worldwide.
